Director
Cody Sloan (he/him) is a classically trained actor, multi-hyphenate artist, and acting coach. He’s excited to be returning to Synecdoche Works after performing in J.C. Pankratz’s Seahorse last year. Recent theater credits include As You Like It at the La Jolla Playhouse, directed by Christopher Ashley and Will Davis; the 2022 Drama Desk Award winning Off-Broadway run of Seven Deadly Sins, directed by Moisés Kaufman; and Victorian Psychedelic Sleepover Play in the IAMA New Works Festival, directed by Emily Moler. On screen, he’s appeared in Selah and the Spades (2019 Sundance Film Festival, Amazon Studios), Birder, and Hobbies (2023 HollyShorts Film Festival). Cody is a founding member of the LA-based producing team, Baby Teeth, a narrator for The New York Times Audio, and he is currently in post-production for a short he wrote and produced in March 2023. He is a proud queer, Transgender man, lover of Shakespeare and heightened language, and champion of new plays. @codydsloan
