Born in San Francisco, but raised in the Deep South, Blue attended the National Shakespeare Conservatory in NYC before settling down in Los Angeles. He has acted and directed, but his passion remains playwriting–with his idols in that direction including Shakespeare, Albee, Wilson, Chekhov, and Pinter. A widower, he increasingly views theatre as depending upon ritual and dance, poetry and masks and myth rather than naturalism. He is a proud member of the Fierce Backbone Theatre Company.
